Fall Flames & Football:  Auburn Game Day Drinks & Appetizers by the Fire Pit

When it comes SEC football, few places bleed tradition and pride quite like Auburn University.  Whether you’re tailgating outside Jordan-Hare Stadium or enjoying the game from your backyard, nothing beats pairing Tigers football with great food, a cold drink, and a crackling fire pit.

At Seasons Fire Pits, we believe the best game day happens outdoors-with friends, family, good food and drink.  Fire up the fire pit, gather your Auburn crew and serve up this winning combo.

Auburn fans know Toomer’s Corner for it’s legendary lemonade.  We’ve taken that flavor and turned it into a smooth, spirited martini that is perfect for cool evenings by the fire.

Ingredients:

2 oz Vodka

2 oz Fresh Lemonade

Splash of Triple Sec

Ice

Lemon Wheel for garnish

Shake vodka, lemonade and ice in a shaker until well chilled.  Strain into a chilled martini glass.  Garnish with a lemon wheel.

Nothing says Alabama quite like Conecuh sausage and we’re wrapping it in Southern comfort with a fiery twist.

Ingredients:

1 package Conecuh sausage, sliced into bite-sized pieces

1 can crescent roll dough

1-2 fresh jalapenos, sliced into thin rings

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.  Sautee the Conecuh sausage ina pan until fully cooked.  Cut crescent dough into strips and wrap each piece of sausage.  Top with jalapeno slices.  Bake until golden brown.

Auburn fans take tailgating to another level – full of Southern hospitality and school spirit.  The Auburn tailgating scene starts early – some fans park their RVs up to a week in advance to secure the best spots on campus.  The Hayfields, located near the old coliseum, are one the most iconic tailgating areas.  Fans set up grills, TVs, tents and even fir pits for those cooler nights.  Auburn’s tailgating isn’t just about food – it’s about tradition.  From singing the fight song to rolling Toomer’s Corner after a win, day is full of celebration.

Whether you’re shouting “War Eagle” or just in it for the food and fun, this Auburn inspired pairing is sure to be a crowd favorite.

Cheers to good food, great football and unforgettable nights around the fire!
