Savor Thanksgiving Around a Seasons Fire Pit

Thanksgiving is an opportunity to examine our lives and be grateful for friendships and family.

There are so many Thanksgiving traditions, whether it’s gathering around a television for a rivalry football game, enjoying the start of basketball season, or settling into your annual movie-thon. What we love about Seasons Fire Pits is that a fire pit extends your outdoor living space – even on cooler evenings. Around the fire pit the focus is on conversation – the opportunity to create more than treasured memories, but to also connect on a deeper level. So, this Thanksgiving season steal a moment and put down the remote. Invest in some quality time away from distractions and enjoy being in the presence of the important people in your life.

One of our favorite memories happened to evolve from a list of thought-provoking questions.

The atmosphere was glowing and warm as we gathered around our firepit. We had a couple of comfy blankets, soft music and a series of personal questions. “The 36 Questions That Lead to Love,” pinned by Daniel Jones, features three sets of questions that get increasingly more personal. The idea is that mutual vulnerability fosters closeness. Don’t let the title scare you. Although it’s marketed for couples, we did it as a group of friends. As long as you’re receptive to the questions, your group will have a positive experience.

Of the questions, here are some of our favorites:

From the set I

Before making a telephone call, do you ever rehearse what you are going to say? Why?

From set II

If you knew that in one year you would die suddenly, would you change anything about the way you are now living? Why?

From set III

Your house, containing everything you own, catches fire. After saving your loved ones and pets, you have time to safely make a final dash to save any one item. What would it be? Why?
