Summer Flowers in a Natural Rust Patina Planter

To create a beautiful planter arrangement for your outdoor space start by purchasing mandevilla, petunias, trailing vinca, and creeping jenny.

Fill the natural rust patina planter with a high-quality potting mix, leaving enough space at the top for planting the flowers. The potting mix should be well-draining and nutrient-rich to support healthy plant growth.

Place the mandevilla plant near the center of the planter. Gently remove the plant from its nursery container and loosen the root ball. Position the mandevilla in the planter at the same level it was previously planted. Backfill the planter with potting mix, pressing it lightly to secure the plant in place.

Around the mandevilla, plant the petunias. Space them evenly, leaving enough room for growth. Remove each petunia from its container, gently loosen the roots, and place them at the desired locations in the planter. Backfill with potting mix and lightly firm it around the plants.

Place trailing vinca near the edges of the planter, allowing them to cascade over the sides. Follow the same planting process as for the petunias, ensuring adequate spacing for each vinca plant.

Finally, tuck in creeping jenny around the edges and cascading down the sides of the planter. This trailing plant with its bright green foliage will provide a beautiful contrast and add an element of texture to the arrangement.

After planting, water the planter thoroughly to settle the soil around the roots. Place the planter in a location that receives the appropriate amount of sunlight for the selected plants. Regularly check the moisture level of the soil and water as needed, ensuring it doesn’t dry out completely. Remember to fertilize the plants according to their specific needs, following the instructions on the fertilizer packaging.

Enjoy the vibrant blooms and cascading growth as they enhance your outdoor space!
